About Us
Robb Cheurvront received his BA Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1981.
Although he has now spent nearly 14 years developing and deploying his expertise in Information Technology, his route to working as an independent contractor in IT was a lengthy process.
Robb, whose favorite color is red, began Kindergarten in a Little Red School House run by his father, Dr. Robert Cheuvront.
Robb has owned lots of red cars and motor cycles and now Red Zone Computers.
He loves being in the RED ZONE.
Robb probably owes his current interest in IT to his father, who bought him a VIC 20 computer in the early 1980′s.
Prior to getting into the RED ZONE with RedZoneComptuers.com Robb worked in political campaigns taught in elementary schools, eventually also working in radio as an announcer, reporter, anchor and news director.
But neither teaching, nor politics nor radio satisfied him and eventually Robb took a temporary position with Information Handling Services (IHS) doing data entry.
There, he encountered Mosaic, the first graphical Internet interface. When his division began to run into problems with computer repair, he began to fix the computers for his group.
He was now learning many different types of computer support and IT.
In his next job at Metro List in Denver, he found himself training personnel, testing website upgrades and assisting the computer illiterate with their IT needs.
In 2001, Robb returned to IHS to work on the help desk for their Energy Division. There, he supported workstations, handled Lotus Notes email, administered the Novell network, installing and supporting software.
There were 3000 employees for IHS at this time spread throughout the world and with 1,200 located in Denver.
He began interactive remote support for IHS offices in England, Canada, Singapore, Oklahoma and Texas.
In 2005, Robb joined the US Nursing Corporation as an IT Systems Administrator and Technical Support Specialist. There were 130 people on staff in Denver and 300 to 500 nurses that were placed in hospitals throughout the country.
At US Nursing, Robb honed his troubleshooting skills, administering data backups on the servers and computers.
He also built Windows 2003 servers, administered Exchange email and, hearkening back to his old days in politics, was occasionally called on to fix the coffee machine.
In 2008, US Nursing downsized and Robb left to start his own IT system administration and computer consulting business Littleton Computers.
